Director, Dept. of Life, Dignity and Justice - Diocese of San Bernadino
The Diocese of San Bernardino is currently accepting resumes for the position of Director of the Department of the Life, Dignity and Justice at the Pastoral Center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a personal commitment to the Gospel, Catholic social teaching, service to the poor and ongoing spiritual development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Administers the department and its offices.
* Serves on the diocesan Curia.
* Coordinates public policy efforts among 3 department offices (Pro-Life, Social Concerns and Restorative Justice) each of which works on a spectrum of issues.
* Collaborates with department staff on parish social ministry leadership development and formation.
* Communicates the mission of the department through public speaking as well as writing for various diocesan publications.
* Provides ongoing development of the bereavement ministry.
* Acts as liaison between the diocese and three Catholic hospitals, 21 Catholic hospital chaplains and Catholic Charities; serve as staff and provide resources to the Diocesan Health Care Committee.
* Oversees fundraising and grant writing for approximately 25% of department budget.
* Other responsibilities as determined by the bishop.

Diocese of Winona - Parish Social Ministry Coordinator
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota has an immediate opening for a Parish Social Ministry Coordinator in its Worthington office. The PSM Coordinator helps Catholic parishes in the six-county Worthington deanery respond to local community needs and work for social justice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a great communicator with strong interpersonal skills, bilingual in Spanish and English, who has solid knowledge of and passion for Catholic social teaching and parish social ministry.
The successful candidate must have a B.A. in the human services field or theology and be a practicing Catholic who understands and supports the values of the Catholic Church. He or she must be able to work independently, take initiative, multi-task, and possess great judgment, maturity, and the ability to think systemically. Experience in community organizing, gerontology, or volunteer recruitment is a plus.

California Catholic Conference - Associate for Advocacy & Education
Assist in the coordination of all aspects of the Catholic Legislative Network - the email advocacy program of the California Catholic Conference of Bishops. This position plays a key part in the continued growth of the CCC's website, its social media presence its Catholic Social Teaching resources, and grassroots advocacy Network.
Duties include writing (produce and assist in the production of written material for website and the Catholic Legislative Network, including e-newsletter and feature stories; work with staff lobbyists to forecast trends and needed material to support their advocacy efforts), advocacy (coordinate with lobbyists for alerts; assist lobbyists in the writing of network material; track advocacy results and work with lobbyists to determine follow-up efforts, especially reporting back to Network members and elected officials on the results of their action), and web page/CapWiz (assist in the design and production of the website, including art, text, polls, blogs, and video; upload material to web weekly; assist in management of social media programs, video and mobile platforms; coordinate translations of web material; responsible for CapWiz database integrity and accuracy, and more), and other responsibilities which may be assigned.

Diocese of Green Bay - Living Justice Director
The full-time position of Living Justice Director will promote, guide, and direct diocesan efforts regarding the social teachings of the Catholic Church by fostering activities and projects that are consistent with Catholic teaching. They will serve as the Diocesan spokesperson on issues related to justice and human dignity and help the diocese to collaborate with other groups in order to accomplish common projects that are of great need in our area. This individual will supervise the Living Justice Department Staff to include the Dignity of Human Life Coordinator, the Family and Married Life Coordinator, and the Catholic Social Justice Coordinator.
This position requires an individual to possess a Master's degree in theology or a related field, have a minimum of five years' experience in parish or diocesan office work, be a practicing Catholic and a member in good standing of a Catholic parish, have a full knowledge of Catholic social teaching as interpreted by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and be able to implement these teachings within the diocese. The Living Justice Director must have a strong familiarity with political and government systems, the legislative process, lobbying techniques and also possess a valid driver's license. It is preferred that the person be fluent in Spanish as well as English.
Successful candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as leadership and supervisory skills. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office software, the internet, collaborative leadership, decision-making, listening skills, strong interpersonal and public relations skills. Individuals must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities and complete work in a timely manner.

Diocese of Green Bay - Dignity of Human Life Coordinator
This part-time (20 hr per week) benefit eligible position is responsible for coordinating diocesan and parish endeavors that promote respect for the dignity of the human person. The Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Living Justice within the context of Evangelization to develop programs in accord with the USCCB Plan for Pro-Life activities and the specific needs of the diocese. Under the supervision of the Living Justice Director, the Coordinator develops, administers, and promotes the Diocese's Respect for Life Program with its four major components which include: Education and Information, Pastoral Care, Advocacy and Public Policy Activities, and Prayer and Worship.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in theology or related field and three or more years of experience preferred. Knowledge of Catholic social and moral teachings that impact Human Dignity, especially regarding abortion, euthanasia, pornography, contraception, violence, capital punishment, palliative care for the chronically ill and dying, and the consistent ethic of life is required. Also required is familiarity with significant Church documents, especially the USCCB Plan for Pro-Life Activities: A Campaign in Support of Life and Pope John Paul's The Gospel of Life; and familiarity with pertinent local and national legislative issues that impact human dignity, especially the constitutional amendment to protect human life. Individuals considered must be a practicing Catholic and a member in good standing of a Catholic parish. It is preferred that person be fluent in Spanish as well as English.

The Executive Director of the Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry has a dedicated commitment to a strong faith based stewardship approach to the programs in accord with the philosophy and mission of the office.
This position coordinates and supports the efforts in the diocese and parishes/deaneries to prophetically challenge through the wisdom of the Church, the personal and structural injustices which dehumanize people. This position supports the development and work of parish and diocesan social justice ministry.
Essential Functions:
o Understands and promotes the goals and objective of the Board of Directors, especially as related to social justice
o Keeps Board of Directors informed of all agency operations as well as the needs of the Archdiocese and community
o Attends and actively participates in all Board meetings
o Initiates and sustains contacts with parish staffs, social justice volunteers in parishes, schools and ethnic centers
o Researches, procures, and communicates resources on Catholic Social Teaching and on current issues before the faith communities
o Convenes, plans, and implements trainings, meetings, retreats for social justice groups. Develops and maintains databases and provides regular communications that sustain these efforts
o Learns about and communicates the social justice efforts existing at the parish, diocesan, and community levels in order to increase participation in the mission, and use resources effectively
o Provide justice materials appropriate for the training of parish leaders and social concerns ministers including catechists, lay ecclesial ministers and adult learners
o Ensures that the diocese is connected with broader social justice and public policy coalitions
o Administers and monitors all programs with special attention to effective response to needy parishes and ministries and community groups
o Implementation of a program of resource development that includes grant submissions, annual fund appeal and the annual fund-raising banquet
o Coordinates and stimulates legislative advocacy on state and federal issues through education in collaboration with the Connecticut Catholic Conference
o Implements and provides on-going support for Parish Social Ministry
o Promotes participation in Home Front Day with AmeriCares by parishes of the Archdiocese
o Promotes the Just Faith program and facilitates the Journey to Justice Retreat
