In the United States, there are 194 archdioceses/dioceses, the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, and the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has divided those dioceses into 14 episcopal regions. NACSAM hosts regional gatherings that are an opportunity for those who are working in social action ministry to come together virtually to discuss topics of local interest and concern, share best practices, and encourage collaboration amongst regional dioceses.
