Martin took us on a deep dive into the story of the raising of Lazarus found in the Gospel of John 11:1-44 by intentionally connecting the work of rolling away the stone (justice) and untying the burial cloths (charity) as our invitation to participate in Jesus's work.

Yet, do we understand it enduring call to action? Dcn. Paul Kipfstuhl of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland led us through a meaningful and challenging session that left many participants with new insight into this familiar prayer.
Synodal Governance: Building Grassroots Leadership for Laudato Si Ministries
Gathering people to be sent on mission in the community can be difficult. Adam Fitzpatrick from the Center for Mission for the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis, shared his experience in decentralized governance and how this research aligns with synodal values. Participants also participated in synodal governance through a simulation exercise of building an environmental ministry.
Mary as a Woman of Action: Purity of Heart and Catholic Social Teaching
Panelists Jillian Foster, Archdiocese of Cincinnati; Suzana Moreira, Laudato Si Movement; and Catherine Orr, National Association of Catholic Social Action and Mission offered their insight and highlighted examples from Sacred Scripture of Mary's pure love and devotion to Jesus and shared their experiences inspired by Mary’s passion for justice in the world.
Synod on Synodality: What does that mean for us?
Panelists Sebastian Gomes, America Media; Julia McStravog, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops; and Wyatt Olivas, University of Wyoming shared how they have been shaped and formed in the spirit of synodality over the past two years. They described how that same spirit of synodality is leading the Church forward.
